Every holiday, I seem to gain a new recipe or two, and since I love beautiful paper products, nice recipe cards are a must.

The blue/brown design will be a gift to my mom and the others I plan on handing out to various friends and family members.

Monday, I passed out my self-made Christmas cards to my co-workers. I wanted to make each one unique, and I didn't necessarily want to stick to the traditional red and green colors. I've always favored pastels, so most of the time, I find it hard to design with any other color. Anyway, here is one of my favorite cards I created {and Teri liked it too}...

Sorry I've been MIA this week! My husband has been sick, which means neither of us have been getting great sleep. I literally come home from work, tidy the house, cook dinner, eat dinner, and crash on the couch.

In other news, I am getting a new printer on Black Friday. IF I survive the madness that day. All so I can start cranking out the goodies.

Since I will soon be attempting to produce my own stationery and thank you notes, I decided it was high time for home inspirational Etsy browsing. Check out some of my recent Etsy finds:

birthday brainstorming

My friend Theresa has a birthday next week, and if I can get my act together, I want to create her a homemade birthday card. This, in turn, means I will have to get my printer up and running. Note to self: get motivated to go by those ink cartridges you need!

The plan is to have our small circle of friends sign it, so I'm torn between creating a Hallmarkish message inside the card, or simply leaving a blank space for us to write whatever we want.

Anyway, I love soft pinks/corals, so... this is the direction I am wanting to go.

Shortly after my own wedding, I sat down to begin the long process of writing thank you notes. While writing 145,354 notes {okay, okay, not that many, but it felt like it} I began wishing that I had something a little more stylish than the $0.99 packet of generic notes I had purchased. So, now, I am taking the liberty of designing my own personal collection of thank you notes. Something that really says "thanks."
