recipe cards by me

Every holiday, I seem to gain a new recipe or two, and since I love beautiful paper products, nice recipe cards are a must.

The blue/brown design will be a gift to my mom and the others I plan on handing out to various friends and family members.

Merry Christmas everyone!

message in a bottle by miniature rhino

I found a sweet message in a bottle gift that would be perfect for Christmas or Valentine's Day. Customize your own message, and have it tucked safely inside a glass vial for that special someone.

If you wanted to add your own special touch, you could always do it yourself. I recommend these vials from Specialty Bottle. I used their products for my wedding favors, and was very happy with the outcome.

Visit Miniature Rhino's Etsy shop and check out the possibilities.

christmas cards by me

Monday, I passed out my self-made Christmas cards to my co-workers. I wanted to make each one unique, and I didn't necessarily want to stick to the traditional red and green colors. I've always favored pastels, so most of the time, I find it hard to design with any other color. Anyway, here is one of my favorite cards I created {and Teri liked it too}...

i ate a mouse!

What a week!

I have not been blogging because I have been designing some Christmas cards for my co-workers. I finally completed them on Sunday night, and passed them out on Monday morning. I was thrilled with how they turned out, and I plan on posting the final products here this week.

On the other hand, my co-worker, Susie, made something adorable for everyone in our department. A CHOCOLATE MOUSE! The face is made of a Hershey Kiss, the body of a chocolate covered cherry, chocolate bark for the eyes, almond flakes for the ears, and chocolate sprinkles for the... you know... droppings! I immediately took a picture of the mouse and sent it to my friends and family. The reactions ranged from "Too cute" to "Eeeeew!"

I found this picture on line to show you...

royal 3rd birthday party

I remember when I was 7 years old, taking trips to Wal Mart with my Nanny {my grandmother}. Like all other kids, I could barely contain myself in the toy section. Wow! One item I pined after was a dress up kit. For girls, the kits usually consisted of something along the lines of princesses or fairies. A beautiful gown {hey, I thought it was beautiful at the time}, some plastic high-heeled shoe with a diamond-like rhinestone glued on the shoe, and usually tiara. This memory has inspired my royal birthday party invitations...

postcard by cut the cake designs

Cut the Cake Designs has some recipe cards and other paper products I am crazy about. In particular, I thought this super cute postcard design was awesome, and postcards are on my to-do design list.

Right now, I am really focusing on simple creations, such as note cards and recipe cards. It's really funny how some days I have endless ideas, but other days I don't have a creative bone in my body.

celebration cards by the social type

Are you as addicted to Etsy as I am? lol!

I made some more great finds on Etsy yesterday, as I stumbled across the shop of The Social Type. Their shop features letterpress and foil greeting cards, and I highly recommend you check out their shop. A few weeks ago I purchased a foil transfer kit, and now that I have seen the final product, I can't wait to jump in and try it myself :)
