Nautical Birthday Invitation by Paper and Food

Today, I was inspired by seaside birthday parties. Just the image of a birthday party surrounded by beautiful scenery put me in the mood to make this birthday invitation with matching RSVP card. Can you tell I need a vacation?

royal 3rd birthday party

I remember when I was 7 years old, taking trips to Wal Mart with my Nanny {my grandmother}. Like all other kids, I could barely contain myself in the toy section. Wow! One item I pined after was a dress up kit. For girls, the kits usually consisted of something along the lines of princesses or fairies. A beautiful gown {hey, I thought it was beautiful at the time}, some plastic high-heeled shoe with a diamond-like rhinestone glued on the shoe, and usually tiara. This memory has inspired my royal birthday party invitations...

carnival of sweets by ruby press

Today, I found myself over at Ruby Press, where I discovered one of their creations---a Carnival of Sweets. As you can imagine, when I saw the word sweets, I was immediately interested. In 2009, they produced an amazing event for one of their clients. Just check out the beautiful invitation, dessert table, and my personal favorite, showcase of cupcakes. Mmmmm.

Here's just a little peek of what she has in store for you in her Etsy shop.

engagement celebration

Today I kept thinking about gray and yellow invitations and I don't know why. BUT, I went with the flow and created a simple engagement party invitation in yellow and coral. Check it out.
